ResveratrolRich™ Super Strength
Resveratrol Concentrate

Imagine eating as much high fat food as you want and having none of the signs of heart disease – even living longer and being more fit as a result! That’s what happened to a group of middle-aged mice studied by Harvard scientist Dr. David Sinclair. In a ground-breaking study, one group of mice were fed a 60% fat diet with resveratrol and another group received the same high fat diet with no resveratrol. To the surprise of the researchers, mice given the resveratrol had no fat-related illness and even lived 31% longer.

What is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol (pronounced “rez-VER-a-trol”) is a polyphenol found mostly in the skins of plants –
particularly grapes and Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cupsidatum) – where it protects the plant
from fungi, viruses and ultra-violet radiation. New research shows that it can also protect against
diseases in animals and humans.

Natural Factors ResveratrolRich Super Strength Resveratrol Concentrate provides 250 mg of trans-resveratrol in each vegetarian capsule. The resveratrol is extracted from the skins of red grapes (Vitis vinifera), grown in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, and from Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum).

Resveratrol enhances longevity by reducing the risk of degenerative diseases, heart attack and stroke. It is also known to lessen the risk and severity of cancer, block compounds that cause inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, and reduce insulin resistance, a major factor in type 2 diabetes.

The French Paradox

Resveratrol may be the key to the “French Paradox”: the low incidence of heart disease and obesity among the French, despite their relatively high fat diet. It is believed that their high levels of wine consumption may be the explanation. Resveratrol, the active antioxidant compound in red wine, minimizes the oxidation of LDL cholesterol and prevents platelets from clumping together, thus reducing blood clot formation and the risk of heart attacks and stroke. It also seems to have beneficial effects on the interior surface of blood vessels, minimizing inflammation, a major contributor to atherosclerosis.

Resveratrol’s antioxidant action also enhances nitric oxide production, which helps the blood vessels relax, allowing greater blood flow.

Fountain of Youth?

The Sinclair study showed that not only did resveratrol stimulate a longevity gene called Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1),
it may also extend life due to its antioxidant ability and enhancement of cellular energy production.

There is no magic bullet for disease prevention, but superior quality natural supplements like ResveratrolRich offer powerful anti-aging and health-protective benefits.
